Take a scientist, liquid nitrogen and 1,500 table tennis balls . . .

LOL, I feel sorry for the poor janitor that has to clean up the ping pong balls... :-)

That'd be highly illegal in California. He'd be facing jail time.

Thinking back to when I used to make gunpowder and enjoy a small explosion now and again, or to when I made sulfur filled stink bombs, or burned the flesh of of dead critters with acid to see the bones, and the like, all I can think is that would have made for a fun eighth grade experiment, or for a bit of mischief for a young teenager in my day. Amazingly, it seemed to be done in front of what appeared to be a college or at least high school senior audience today. I think it just shows more evidence that kids today have truly been deprived of the fun they should be having at the age they should be having it.

My first thought was that Bunny Rabbit just won a big bunch of carrots from Captain Kangaroo.

youtube reports the video was removed by the user. Here is another one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RnkwXYmq-4

The scientist was an idiot for putting his head over the can while dumping in the balls. I know that a similar experiment, but using dry ice instead of LN will pop the bottle in seconds.

@Anonymous at 9.56 AM: Thanks for the heads-up about the removed video. I've updated the link to go to the copy you listed.

Isn't it great to be so easily amused?
